Das  WMV Format kann zu extrem kleinen Bitraten ohne automatische Korrektur führen. Damit wird die Datei extrem klein – allerdings kann das auch dazu führen, dass die Videoübertragung komplett unterdrückt wird, wodurch nur noch Audio ausgegeben wird. Um dies zu vermeiden, erhöhen Sie einfach die Bitrate beim Eport (am besten direkt +50% mehr bis zu ersten, funktionierenden Bitrate.

This is most likely caused by the web server configuration not selecting “index.html” as the first file to display. To fix this you must log in to the FTP server and either rename or copy the index.html file to index.htm or default.html or default.htm – depending on which web server configuration is used. Usually index.htm or default.htm is the next file tried when index.html is not used.

You cannot change the audio codec when exporting to WMV. This is because the ACELP.net codec (in ScreenCorder 4) or the Windows Media Audio 9 codec (in ScreenCorder 5) is forced in order to achieve smaller file sizes. To play files using this codec, it is necessary to install Windows Media Player version 9 or above.

If you need to ensure that exported movies will run on software other than Windows with WMP9, please select the AVI output format. This will let you choose freely among the installed codecs – to find one that is common and comes preinstalled with Windows, please see the Microsoft Windows help file (press F1) and search for “audio codecs”.

Optionally you can use a third-part, WMV-compatible demultiplex and multiplex utility to remove the sound, re-encode it to a format of your liking, and then re-multiplex the video and new audio file. Doing this is not supported by MatchWare and may break compatibility with some systems.

To remove the demo license notice from the full version of ScreenCorder, browse to the Program Files directory and enter the MatchWare directory. Leave this window open and through the control panel, add or remove software, uninstall ScreenCorder. Delete the “ScreenCorder” folder from the Program Files MatchWare location and reinstall ScreenCorder – after this the demo notice will be removed.

Make sure you keep any files that you downloaded -after- your purchase. If the installation file is lost you will not be able to restore ScreenCorder after this operation!

The warning that is generated on the very first attempt at installing ScreenCorder on Vista is related to a specific component, namely “Windows Media”. This package comes pre-installed on Vista in a version higher than the one included in the ScreenCorder package and this results in the message “This program has known compatibility issues and has been blocked”.

It is safe to ignore this message as the package is already installed and up-to-date.

This problem is primarily caused by the sound processing system not being able to play audio in the desired framerate. To fix this problem, download service pack 3 for ScreenCorder 4 – the file can be found athttp://www.matchware.net/en/support/servicepacks/screencorder4.htm.After installing the service pack you must re-export your project.

Diese Warnung kann ausgegeben werden, wenn ScreenCorder beim ersten Mal auf Vista oder Win 7 installiert wird. Dabei wird versucht, ein Element namens „Windows Media“ zu installieren. Dieses ist bei Vista oder Win 7 bereits in einer höheren Version als der mit ScreenCorder mitgelieferten vorhanden, was zu folgender Meldung führt: „Dieses Programm wird aufgrund von Kompatibilitätsproblemen geblockt“.

Diese Warnmeldung können Sie einfach ignorieren, da das entsprechende Programm bereits in der neusten Version installiert ist. ScreenCorder wird einwandfrei funktionieren.

Dieses Verhalten, das immer dann auftreten kann, wenn sich plötzlich sehr viel im Bild ändert (z.B. komplett neuer Bildinhalt), hat mit einer Eigenheit des WMV-Formats (genauer: dessen ScreenCodec) zu tun, an der man leider nichts ändern kann: Hier muss man (z.B. beim Export aus Screencorder) eine bestimmte Datenrate (kBit/sec) eingeben. Wird diese überschritten, z.B. weil plötzlich sehr viele Daten anfallen, kommt es zum o.g. Verhalten (der Ton wird weiter abgespielt).

Richtig in der Zwickmühle war man früher bei diesem Problem, weil sich bei Erhöhen der Datenrate dadurch die erzeugten Dateien entsprechend größer wurden. Da ist nicht mehr so. Ob Sie 200 KBit/sec oder 1000 kBit einstellen: Das erzeugte Video ist ähnlich groß.

Damit ist auch die Lösung klar: Einfach die Datenrate großzügig erhöhen und nochmal exporteren.

Anmerkung: Der einzige Wermutstropfen bei dieser Vorgehensweise: Der Puffer bei WMVs, die aus dem Web abgespielt werden, orientiert sich an der eingegebenen datenrate, d.h. der Anwender muss (unnötigerweise) ziemlich lange warten, bis ein Video aus dem Web von alleine losläuft.

OpenMind 2 supports tables and bullets in text notes, but OpenMind 1 does not.OpenMind 1 supports basic Word and HTML copy/paste functionality. Advanced formatting such as tables and bulleted lists are not currently possible in OpenMind 1, although a similar behavior can be achieved by using a monospace font and tab indentations.
