I am having problems running Mediator on a Novell Netware network

Some reports have been received which describe crashes and following stale file handles or network connections on Netware networks. The large majority is caused by the home folder of the person using Mediator being placed on a network drive and documents being saved directly to this location. To avoid crashes, save the documents elsewhere and use the Windows explorer to copy it afterwards.

Users report that network connections and/or file handles become stale after Mediator crashes, and remain stale until the computer has been rebooted. A suggested solution which may be available through the Netware setup software is to decrease the file write/read timeout to a minute or two. Setting this should not affect normal operation.

Currently there is no available explanation for setting up the Novell Netware suite to prevent these crashes.
