Known Bugs

These are the known bugs for the MindView/OpenMind product family. Please do not e-mail us about these – those existing in current versions of the software will be fixed by the next service update.
These are the known bugs in MindView 4 for Windows:

• Exiting MindView in some situations where you have a branch with a Text Note selected can cause MindView to Crash. Please deselect the current branch by clicking on the Workspace before closing MindView in order to avoid this.
• Timeline/Outline/Gantt View – It is currently not possible to deselect displayed columns by right-clicking on the column headings.

These are the known bugs in MindView 4 for Mac:

• There are no known bugs in MindView 4 for Mac at this time.

These are the known bugs in MindView 3 for Windows:

• There are no known bugs in MindView 3 at this time.

These are the known bugs in MindView 3 for Mac:

• There are no known bugs in MindView 3 for Mac at this time.

These are the known bugs in OpenMind 2 for Mac:

• A bug has been discovered in the HTML export templates in the current version (build 75) – this can lead to failing HTML-exports, but can also be remedied without a service pack:
  1. Save this file: TGTemplates.zip to the following path:
     <user home>/Library/Application Support/MatchWare/OpenMind
  2. If a TGTemplates folder already exists, remove it
  3. Doubleclick TGTemplates.zip to unpack the fixed TGTemplates folder

These are the known bugs in OpenMind 2 for Windows:

• When installing OpenMind 2 via GPO, the application will ignore the serial number that was entered. To rectify this, first apply the latest service pack to the administrative installation (instructions are in the “installation” category).
• A recently discovered flaw in the HTML export wizard under template customization makes it impossible to use images from a direct network path (serverpath). To work around this issue, always copy files you need to use to a local path, or mount the network share as a network drive (i.e. servershare becomes X: or similar). This will allow the wizard to copy the files correctly.

These are the known bugs in OpenMind 1:

• An incompatibility with certain types of client management software such as Ranger and NetSupport prevents OpenMind 1 from running. The only known solution then for running OpenMind 1 is to remove the client management software. Alternatively you can download a demo of MindView 3 to see if that will run: if the demo works, so will the full version.

The following bugs have been reported in the current version of Mediator (v9, build 152 / service pack 3). Please do not contact us if your question is about any of these, as they will be fixed as soon as possible.
