What does each permission mean?

To see all permissions available go to Settings -> Admin -> Security Roles -> For User Hierarchy -> Security Role List.


 

List of Permissions and their Meanings

  • Meeting Permissions -> Organize Meetings

Organize Meetings Permission

Here you can choose whether or not to give the right to be able to organize meetings
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally have the right to organize meetings for all users in MeetingBooster system so this would have access level G


 

  • Meeting Permissions -> View Other Meetings

View Other Meetings Permission

Here you can define whose meetings you can view.
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally have the right to view all meetings created by any users of MeetingBooster system so this would have access level G


 

  • Meeting Permissions -> Create Meeting Series

Create Meeting Series Permission

Choose whether or not to give the right to be able to create meeting series.
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally have the right to create a meeting series so this would have access level G


 

  • Meeting Permissions -> Manage Meeting Series

Manage Meeting Series Permission

Here you can choose whether to give the right to change a meeting series you have not created yourself. This is normally an admin function.
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally not have the right to manage a meeting series so this would have access level X.


  • Task Permissions -> Manage Tasks

Manage Tasks Permission

Here you can choose to give the right to change/see tasks you have not created yourself. By default anyone can create tasks for all users of the MB system.
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally have the right to manage all tasks in MeetingBooster system so this would have access level G


 

  • Project Permissions -> Manage Projects

Manage Projects Permission

Here you can choose to give the right to create projects
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally have the right to create all projects in MeetingBooster system so this would have access level G


  • User Management Permissions -> Manage Users

Manage Users Permission

This is usually an admin user function to be able to add/delete/edit user data on MeetingBooster system.
E.g. a CEO Manager would normally not have the right to manage users in MeetingBooster system so this would have access level X


 

  • User Management Permissions -> Transfer User Data

Transfer User Data Permission

This is usually an admin function.

Access to user data transfer may want to be granted in the cases where someone leaves the company and you want to provide access to another person, or if you hire a new person that needs to get up to speed on some things and therefore you need to transfer data from an old user to a new user.

If User Data Transfer is enabled then in Settings -> Admin -> Users -> User Transfer data you would select Data Transfer From User and To User and then select what data would be allowed to be transferred (e.g. past meetings can be selected when a new person needs access to previous meetings from previous user)


 

  • Security Management Permissions

Security Management Multiple Permissions

These are usually admin functions and can be set as appropriate.


 

  • Salary Permissions

Salary Permissions

These are normally HR functions. Note: if you choose not to give the right to View Salary then the dashboard regarding salaries can also not be viewed


 

  • Dashboard Permissions ->Use Dashboards

Dashboard Permissions Use Dashboards

Here you can choose which users will be used for the dashboard data
E.g. a CEO Manager would want to see the dashboard data populated with all users of the system so this would have access level G


 

  • Dashboard Permissions -> Manage Dashboards

Manage Dashboards Permission

Here you can choose whether or not to give the right to be able to adjust settings/parameters for the dashboards
E.g. a CEO Manager would want to adjust the parameters for dashboards they can see so this would have access level G
